Leslie O’Neill said she is hoping to hang onto a School Committee seat to which she was appointed last month. O’Neill said in an e-mail that she plans to run in the April 25 election to get elected to the seat she was named to Jan. 12 by selectmen and School Committee members to finish out the term left vacant by Jonathan Mihal, who moved out of state. O’Neill, who works as a cake decorator, served as a co-chairwoman of the Beaver Brook Elementary School parent teacher organization and volunteers in the art room for the first and second grades. She and her husband have three children in the school. She also volunteers as religious education instructor for St. Bridget Church. Candidate nomination papers are due back March 9.
