Riddle’s said to be under sale agreement

Riddle’s Supermart, Hull’s only grocery store, is under agreement with a new owner and could reopen in time for Thanksgiving, according to the realtor handling the transaction.

Mike Guimares said he couldn’t disclose any details of the sale price or identify the new grocer while the buyer went through due diligence.

But assuming everything goes as planned, “we’re looking at the middle to late November that the new owners will take possession, have [the store] restocked, and have a grand opening,” he said.

Riddle’s stopped stocking its shelves early this year and went on the market for $7.25 million in June.
