Patriot Place eatery to close for overhaul

The CBS Scene Restaurant & Bar in Patriot Place is temporarily closing for renovations and will reopen in the summer under new management.

The three-story sports bar and restaurant has been in the shopping complex next to Gillette Stadium since 2008 and needs modernization, according to Patriot Place spokesman Jeremie Smith.

The audiovisual technology will be upgraded ‘for the next 10-plus years” as part of the extensive renovations, Smith said. He said the venue would close Feb. 12.

Big Night Entertainment Group, which already operates the Scorpion Bar in Patriot Place and similar venues in Boston and at Foxwoods, will take over management.
