Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is opening an outpatient clinic at Patriot Place.
The hospital satellite facility, which is scheduled to open in the spring of 2020, will provide adult medical oncology and hematology services, such as exams, infusions, support services, and select clinical trials, according to a press release.
“We are continually seeking ways to provide cancer patients with access to Dana-Farber’s world-class physicians and medical professionals closer to their homes,” said Dr. Craig A. Bunnell, the hospital’s chief medical officer. “We are thrilled to be developing a site at Patriot Place in Foxborough to better support patients in the area.”
Dana-Farber spokesman John Noble said the new clinic still needs to be approved by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
Dana-Farber also recently announced that it had signed a lease for 140,000 square feet in the Life Time Center in Chestnut Hill as an expansion of its Longwood campus.
The Foxborough facility will be in 34,000 square feet of a new five-story, 150,000-square-foot building currently under construction, according to Patriot Place spokesman Jeremie Smith.
Patriot Place is adjacent to Gillette Stadium and has more than 1.3 million square feet of shopping, dining, and entertainment space, as well as hotels and medical facilities, including Brigham and Women’s/Mass General Health Care Center.Johanna Seltz can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
