Looking into pocket neighborhoods

Town planners have started studying “pocket’’ neighborhoods as a potential zoning measure for a downtown village that is still in its planning phases. Earlier this month, the Planning Board hosted a forum with a local developer to gather more input and information about the concept. An example of the design can be found in a Concord development of small clapboard cottages that form a tight ring encircled by gardens and walkways.
