Weston’s 300th anniversary celebration officially kicks off Saturday with a formal commemoration that will include a reading of the proclamation of the town’s incorporation, historical reenactments, and a choral performance.
The ceremony starts at 4:30 p.m. at Weston High School, and will be followed by a reception hosted by the Weston300 Committee at Town Hall from 6 to 8 p.m.
The tercentenary celebrations will continue with events spread throughout the year. Already open is an exhibition, “The Farmers’ Precinct: Three Centuries of Weston History,’’ on display at the Weston Public Library this month.
Details on the lineup are available on the town’s website, www.weston.govoffice.com.
