Sustainable Wellesley will host a gathering to discuss local initiatives to help fight climate change from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Wellesley Hills, 309 Washington St. Local resident Quentin Prideaux will talk about what he learned this summer at the Climate Reality Project, which is an invitation-only training program in California led by former vice president Al Gore, according to Sustainable Wellesley. The group will then hold a workshop touching on the latest information about climate change, as well as steps that residents can take to reduce their carbon footprints. There will be break-out discussions on topics such as reducing home energy consumption and speaking out. There will be pizza and brownies from 6:30 to 7 p.m., with the program to follow.
