Professor, realtor honored with public health awards


The Friends of Brookline Public Health  will honor professor Theodore Colton with the Public Health Leadership Award  this week at the group’s annual meeting. Chobee Hoy, owner of Chobee Hoy Real Estate Inc., will also be honored with the Carlin Community Health Award at the meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m.  in the Brookline Main Library’s Hunneman Hall. Colton, who lives in Brookline, is the author of the textbook “Statistics in Medicine”  and is chairman emeritus and professor at the Boston University School of Public Health. He was nominated for the leadership award for his contributions to the issue of valid and ethical scientific research.
