New date for annual town election

The town election has been moved from April 22 to April 30 to coincide with the statewide primary election for the US Senate seat vacated by John Kerry, now US secretary of state. The consolidation will save the town money, according to Town Clerk John Canney, who requested the change. Annual Town Meeting begins May 13 in the Ayer-Shirley Regional High School auditorium.
