Bridge closed over repairs until fall

The Wickford Road bridge in Framingham, which carries traffic over the Sudbury River, will be temporarily closed starting Monday for rehabilitation and repairs made by the state transportation department. The bridge is slated to reopen this fall. During construction, residents are advised to follow detour signage and seek alternate routes. A map of the available detour routes can be found on the town’s website at framinghamma.gov. Records from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation indicate that it will cost about $7.3 million to rebuild the bridge.
