Dancing with the Needham Stars is coming to town on June 15, and local celebrities will be showing off their best moves to raise funds for the homeless and for a sculpture at Needham High School. This year’s cast includes Selectman Matt Borrelli and Needham Town Clerk Tedi Eaton. The event will be held at Moseley’s on the Charles in Dedham from 7 p.m. to midnight. Music will be provided by disc jockey Bob Moffett, and the judges will include Rabbi Jay Perlman, Dr. Connie Barr, and other surprise judges. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door. You can order by credit card at www.ownyourpeace.org or by sending a check payable to Own Your Own Peace, PO Box 920002, Needham, Mass. 02492. There will be hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Proceeds will benefit Own Your Peace, a collaborative effort between Needham High School students, administrators, clergy, local businesses, and community volunteers to raise money for a permanent sculpture at the school. Proceeds will also benefit Circle of Hope, which provides donated clothing and other basic necessities to poor and homeless families, according to the release.
