Nomination papers are now available for people interested in running for office in this fall’s city elections. On the ballot will be the mayor’s position, 11 City Council seats, and three seats on the School Committee. Registered voters interested in running for office must obtain papers from the city clerk’s office by Aug. 16, and papers must be returned by Aug. 20. The city’s preliminary election is scheduled for Oct. 8 and the general election will be held Nov. 5.
