Healthy Concord to host forum

Healthy Concord is hosting a community forum from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the Harvey Wheeler Community Center. Over the past few months, the town’s Health Department has asked residents to express their views on community health and well-being, and the Healthy Concord project’s committee is hosting next weekend’s gathering to work on solutions to the issues raised during the process. The target list includes enhancing programming that increases a sense of community; creating better support systems for youth, families, and seniors; and improving options for getting around town, including bikeways and walkways. Preregistration is appreciated, although walk-ins are also welcome, according to a posting on the town’s website, www.concordma.gov. Childcare will be available. To register or for more information, e-mail Jill Block, Healthy Concord’s coordinator, at jillblock16@gmail.com, or public health director Susan Rask at srask@concordma.gov.
