Retiring superintendent to stay through summer

At a recent meeting, the Carlisle School Committee received word from the district’s retiring principal and superintendent, Joyce Mehaffey, that she has agreed to extend her contract for two months, so her tenure will overlap with the anticipated arrival of her replacement. A search committee has started meeting in preparation for screening candidates for the position, with the goal of presenting finalists to the School Committee next month.
