Doctor to receive public health award


Dr. Linda D. Sagor, a Boxborough resident who is director of the division of general pediatrics for UMass Memorial Health Care, is this year’s recipientt of the Massachusetts Medical Society’s Henry Ingersoll Bowditch Award for Excellence in Public Health. The award is presented to a Massachusetts physician who demonstrates creativity, commendable citizenship, initiative, innovation and leadership in the public health and advocacy fields. She will receive the award at the organization’s annual public health forum Wednesday in Waltham. Sagor is specifically honored for her contributions to improving children’s health through advocacy and education.
