Drop off toxic household waste

Dover and Medfield residents will be able to drop off hazardous household waste from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Medfield town garage on Route 27, north of its intersection with Route 109. The list of items to be collected, which should not be discarded with regular household trash, includes pesticides and herbicides, photographic chemicals, automobile products including transmission and brake fluid, antifreeze and unusable gasoline, and oil-based paints. Latex paints should be dried out and deposited in regular trash. Commercial waste will not be accepted. Also on Saturday, the Dover Board of Health is sponsoring its annual rabies clinic from noon to 1 p.m. at the town garage on Dedham Street. A veterinarian from the Chestnut Street Animal Hospital in Needham will vaccinate leashed dogs and cats. The fee is $10.
