Register for library workshop on publishing

The Northborough Free Library is hosting a free event at 2 p.m. Saturday for aspiring writers. “Getting Published Today: You Wrote a Book; Now What?” will be hosted by literary agent Jan Kardys, who will go over topics including finding the right agent; submitting query letters and proposals; and understanding book contracts. She will also discuss marketing and promotion techniques, along with various self-publishing and traditional publishing options. Kardys is president of Black Hawk Literary Agency LLC and has 30 years of publishing experience. Preregistration is encouraged, as the event is limited to 40 participants. For information and to register, call library director Jean Langley at 508-393-5025, ext. 9.
