The Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation will host the 21st annual Waltham Food and Wine Festival from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Westin Waltham Boston hotel, 70 Third Ave. The festival, which is a main fund-raiser for the museum, will feature cuisine from nearly 30 local restaurants, as well as dozens of wines presented by six distributors. Kiss 108 radio personality “Matty In the Morning“ and Miss Massachusetts will make special appearances, while the Waltham Philharmonic Orchestra will provide music, and there will be a silent auction and raffle. This year’s festival will also celebrate two Waltham innovators working in the textile industry: Francis Cabot Lowell, proclaimed the father of the Industrial Revolution; and Sondra Celli, a modern fashion designer known for her role on two TLC series, “My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding,’’ and “Bling It On.” Restaurants slated to offer samples will include the Elephant Walk, Watch City Brewery Co., Tempo Bistro, Lizzy’s Homemade Ice Cream, the Chateau, the Skellig, Solea Restaurant and Tapas Bar, Bertucci’s, and the culinary program at Waltham High School, according to event organizers. Admission is $45 in advance, or $50 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at www.crmi.org, or by calling 781-893-5410.
