Town offers deal on rain barrels

Residents can get a 60 percent savings on a rain barrel, a keg-like device that collects storm runoff for use on lawns, gardens, and other outdoor projects. The town was awarded grant money from the state Department of Environmental Protection to promote the use of rain barrels, which help conserve water resources and save money. Under the discount program, residents can obtain the Great American Rain Barrel product for $49.
