Transfer station swap opens Wednesday

The town transfer station will open its swap area Wednesday for recycling gently used clothing, toys, sporting equipment, furniture, and other household items that are still useful to someone else. Residents with a transfer-station sticker can drop off goods and search for interesting items to take home. The free arrangement is popular, and many residents arrive early hoping to get a good selection, but the items available change throughout the day, organizers note. The swap area follows the transfer station schedule except for its closing time, 3 p.m. Residents can purchase a transfer-station sticker, good for two years, for $50 at Town Hall.
