Westborough

Hearing on access to Route 9 project

The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet Monday night with developers of a proposed Chapter 40B affordable-housing project known as Westborough Woods to resume a discussion on plans for a second access way to the property. The town’s building commissioner, Tin Htway, among others, supports adding the second access, citing the need for medical vehicles and school buses to have the additional option for safety reasons. The proposal now calls for access to the 250-unit development from Route 9. The public hearing is slated for 7:40 p.m. in the Forbes Municipal Building, 45 West Main St.
