Keefe resigns from school boards

Christine Keefe, a longtime member of the Berlin-Boylston Regional School Committee and the Berlin School Committee, has decided to step down from both panels, citing “personal reasons’’ for her resignation. In her May 30 letter to the Berlin town clerk and both school boards, Keefe also stated, “I have worked very hard to be a good representative and advocate for the education of students in both communities for over 15 years. Over the past several years, it has become increasingly difficult for me to stand up for what I believe will improve education for our students.” Keefe had been named vice chairwoman of the Berlin board during its recent reorganization vote.
