A magical start for summer reading

The summer reading program at Hopkinton Public Library will kick off Friday at 3:30 p.m. with “Readers of the Lost Book,” a magic show by magician Mike Bent. Young readers, and those who have books read to them, can sign up for this year’s “Dig into Reading’’ program at the library starting on Monday, and online at www.readsinma.org. Participants will be eligible to win prizes from the Boston Bruins, including a signed puck by forward Brad Marchand, a team-signed jersey, a Zamboni ride between periods of a game next season, and a chance to sit on the player’s bench during pregame warm-ups, and take part in a number of local activities.
