Foundation buys iPads for library

The Goodnow Library Foundation recently made its first major gift to the library with the purchase of 10 Apple iPads, which will be split between the children’s room and the adult area. Library staff members will be trained on how to use the iPads, and will be on hand to help patrons who haven’t used them before. The iPads should be available wtthin a few weeks, officials said. “We will be asking everyone for their feedback on how they are interested in using these devices, and continually modifying them for the best patron experience,’’ said library director Esme Green. “This will be a learning experience for us as much as for our patrons. We are eager to work together to provide the best experience possible.”
