Indian cultural day at farmers market

The Ashland Farmers Market will host special events highlighting India’s diverse cultures Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 125 Front St. The day will include young musicians and dancers performing classical Indian works, and children can have their names written in Sanskrit and receive henna tattoos. There will also be a presentation on the activities of the Sri Lakshmi Temple on Waverly Street, and tastings of Indian cuisine. The farmers market runs every Saturday through Oct. 19 , and features offerings from local farmers, bakers, and artisans.
