Local officials are looking to fill vacancies on two town commissions, according to notices on the municipal website. The Historical Commission has a term that expires June 30, 2015. Duties include helping to record any historically valuable town assets, and reviewing any proposed demolition involving properties listed as historically important. There is also an opening on the Conservation Commission, a seven-member board that oversees the town’s conservation lands, including Ridge Hill Reservation, and wetlands areas. Experience is not necessary, but familiarity with the state’s Wetlands Protection Act is desirable.
