Sign up for emergency-alert system

The town has partnered with a service company, CodeRED, to provide an automated emergency notification system for the community. The new system is able to send out messages via phone call, e-mail, or text to alert residents in the event of fires, school lockdowns, abductions, natural disasters, and other emergency situations. The messages can be targeted to a particular part of town or delivered across the community, based on the circumstances. Residents and businesses are encouraged to provide contact information, including e-mail addresses, and land-line and cellphone numbers, so they can be contacted in the event of an emergency. To set up an account, call 508-366-3042, ext. 119, or visit www.town.westborough.ma.us and click on the CodeRED icon to reach the enrollment page.
