Singing Trooper to open weekly concerts

The town’s popular series of free summer concerts begins Thursday with Dan Clark, the Singing Trooper, in a performance moved up to 5 p.m. in honor of the July Fourth holiday. The remainder of the concerts will start at 7 p.m. each Thursday through Aug. 1, and will feature local singer/songwriter Tim Gartland, the Mike Tarara Band, the Soul of Boston, and the Shana Stack Band. The venue has been changed this year from the town common to the “Activity Complex’’ outside 12 Mudge Way. For more information, contact the Recreation Department at 781-275-1392 or go to www.bedfordma.gov/recreation.
