Town preparing festive Fourth

The town’s Parks and Recreation Department is holding its annual Independence Day celebration on July Fourth from noon to 4 p.m. The event will be held at Dean Park on Main Street, and will include family activities and food. There will be a decorated bike and doll carriage parade in the softball parking lot at 12:30 p.m. Other activities include face painting, games, an inflatable moonwalk, and music. Boy Scouts will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs, while the parks department will offer popcorn, popsicles, and snow cones. More information is available by calling 508-841-8503.
