Natick

Wrestling with twin Pleasant Streets

With one hearing on the matter already under their belts, town officials will hold a second session July 15 on potentially renaming Natick’s two Pleasant Streets as North Pleasant and South Pleasant, or something similar. The hearings come after some residents expressed concern over two roads bearing the same name in different parts of town. The Board of Selectmen will consider putting “North” and “South” either at the front or end of the street names. Other options on the table are leaving the status quo; giving one street the “North” or “South” designation and leaving the other as is; or bestowing a completely new name on one of them. The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Town Hall on East Central Street.
