Free family friendly activities in Framingham

The city is offering free family-friendly activities on Thursdays at 2 p.m. on the Centre Common, starting July 18 with a puppet show appropriate for ages 3 and up at Village Hall. The rest of the activities will be held at Edgell Memorial Library. There will be parlor games led by a former elementary school teacher on July 25; a historical Framingham “legends and lore” story hour on Aug. 1; more parlor games on Aug. 8; and painting with fruits and vegetables on Aug. 15. All programs are free, sponsored by the NorthEast Community Bank and the Framingham History Center. Most of the programs are designed for children ages 5 to 10; all attendees must be accompanied by an adult. Parents can make reservations by e-mailing Charlene@framinghamhistory.org.
