Police warn residents of phone scams

The Marlborough Police Department is warning residents to beware of phone scams after learning that an increasing number have reported being targeted. Police say scammers try to trick victims into sending money or personal information by pretending to be a family member in need of help, as well as by claiming that the victim has won a lottery. Residents with concerns or questions regarding these types of scams are asked to call the Police Department at 508-485-1212.
