Selectmen impose water use restrictions

Selectmen have imposed restrictions on outdoor water use in Maynard. The restrictions, which went into effect on July 1, limit the use of water for activities like lawn watering, car washing, and pool filling. Such activities are prohibited between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on all days. People with odd-numbered addresses are allowed to water outside of those hours on odd-numbered days, and people with even-numbered addresses can water outside of those hours on even-numbered days. However, watering is prohibited for everyone on Mondays. The restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.
