Water and sewer bills moving to quarterly cycle

The town’s Board of Water and Sewer Commissioners has voted to change its utility-billing cycle from semiannually to quarterly beginning in fiscal 2014, which started July 1. All accounts will be billed in arrears for three months of service, at the end of August, November, February, and May. The board made the change to allow for faster identification of potential water leaks through elevated usage; faster notification of meter readings; and better budgeting through the receipt of smaller bills more frequently. For more information, call the Department of Public Services at 508-533-3275 or visit the town’s website at www.townofmedway.org .
