Openings on town’s medical reserve corps

The town is seeking volunteers for a medical reserve corps that helps local health officials in a wide range of situations, from holding flu immunization clinics to responding to natural disasters. The Health Department will hold a reception and informational session for potential volunteers on July 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Arlington Senior Center, 27 Maple St. The corps needs volunteers for both medical and nonmedical roles. A light meal and refreshments will be served at the reception; more information can be found online at www.arlingtonma.gov/mrc .
