“Book Your Reservation” to support the library

The town’s library trustees are inviting residents to “Book Your Reservation,” an event on Sept. 14 to raise funds for a renovation project that will include a new wing with a children’s room and outdoor terrace. More than $2 million has been raised toward the campaign’s $3.5 million goal to offset the town’s portion of the project, according to the trustees’ website. The town is in line to receive another $3.6 million from the state next year, when the work is tentatively scheduled to begin. The fund-raising event will take place under a tent on the Sherborn Library’s grounds from 6:30 to 9 p.m., and will feature hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and music. Tickets are $50, or $35 for seniors. Reservations are required, and can be made either online at library.sherbornma.org, or at the library’s circulation desk by Sept. 4.
