Crafts, music, cleanup day at Spy Pond

The Friends of Spy Pond Park will host a craft-making session using items found in nature next month as part of an annual “work and fun day’’ at the recreational area off Pond Lane. The craft-making session will include making leaf prints, bark boats, pressed flower art, and catching and drawing bugs. Other family activities and live music will be part of the festivities from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 7, when the Friends of Spy Pond Park will also be asking visitors to help spruce up the park’s grounds. Rainy weather would reset the activities for Sept. 8.
