Town warns of delays from road projects

The town is proceeding with a number of infrastructure projects as part of ongoing maintenance efforts. The work includes upgrading sewer and water lines in the vicinity of Chestnut Street and Cold Spring Brook, which will lead to detours and closures on Chestnut near Union Street through the middle of next month. In addition, the town is lining sewer lines on Pleasant Street to reduce the amount of groundwater leaking into the pipes, likely leading to delays on Pleasant Street for the next several weeks. The town is also milling and overlaying pavement on Union Street between Main Street and Stone Avenue, which is expected to cause delays along the stretch and on nearby streets until early next month. For more information, call David Manugian, the town’s director of public works, at 508-881-0120, ext. 14, or visit the town’s website, www.ashlandmass.com.
