The application deadline for the town’s property tax work-off program for military veterans and senior citizens has been extended to Friday. Applications are available online at, and at the Senior Center and several Town Hall offices. The program allows veterans and residents age 65 and older who own property and have lived in town at least five years to work in various town and school departments to earn credits offsetting up to $1,000 of their tax bills. Preference will be given to residents facing financial difficulty, according to the town’s website.
