Learn about local ‘solarize’ program

Solarize Medway will hold an informational meeting Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Medway Public Library’s Cole Room. Elizabeth Kennedy, who directs the Solarize Mass. program for the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, will be a featured speaker. The event will offer residents the chance to learn the basics about solar electricity, and hear more about the program, which offers discounts on solar-panel installations on residential and business properties in town, with higher participation resulting in more savings. Also at the meeting will be representatives from Second Generation Energy, Medway’s designated installer. It will be the final public meeting on the local program, which has a sign-up deadline of Sept. 30. For more information, call 508-422-0229 or visit www.solarizemedway.org.
