Here’s a chance to ‘dance with stars’


The Brookline Rotary Club is signing up local officials, business leaders, educators, and professional service providers to show off their dance moves during a gala evening that will benefit a number of local charities. “Dancing With the Brookline Stars” is set for 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Sept. 21 in Pine Manor College’s Ellsworth Theatre, and the local luminaries taking part include Alan Balsam, Michele David, Erin Gallentine, Deb Goldberg, Ken Goldstein, Deb Holman, Chobee Hoy, and Lisa Wisel. General admission tickets are $75, while premiere access will cost $125; the event’s beneficiaries include the Jennifer Lynch Committee on Domestic Violence, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Greater Boston Food Bank, Brookline Arts Center, and the Brookline Teen Center Foundation.
