Two debates for at-large council candidates

Waltham’s League of Women Voters chapter will hold two debates this week for the 12 candidates vying for six at-large City Council seats in the Nov. 5 municipal election, the nonpartisan organization announced. The forums are slated for 7 p.m. Wednesday and Friday in the Arthur J. Clark Government Building at 119 School St. Of the dozen candidates, five are incumbents, according to the city clerk’s office. The Nov. 5 ballot will also have six candidates vying for three School Committee seats, as well as races for several of the nine City Council seats representing individual wards.
