A key article among a dozen on the warrant for Wednesday night’s Special Town Meeting seeks approval for borrowing money for major Town Hall renovations. Three years ago, voters agreed to spend $3.9 million, but updated estimates have found an additional $1.1 million will be needed. Also expected to attract attention during the session, to convene at 7 p.m. in the Bromfield School auditorium, are a measure to give the Board of Selectmen total oversight over activities at Bare Hill Pond, and a proposal to give the Planning Board one year to decide how it would handle proposals to open a medical marijuana treatment center.
