Study predicts gain from project


A new study commissioned by the town indicates a slight annual gain — $20,000 in tax revenue — instead of a loss from a proposed 204-apartment and commercial project at the South Berlin rotary known as Riverbridge North LLC. Communities Opportunities Group Inc. conducted the study, which offered evidence that may help quell taxpayers’ concerns that the development will inundate the town with additional costs for school, fire, and police services.
