Pull the plug on electronics this month

The town is observing its ninth annual Bedford Families Unplugged campaign, joining other communities in encouraging people of all ages to explore life without electronic devices. On Wednesday, public school students will have no homework, evening sports, or required activities, and the school district and town will hold no required evening meetings for adults. Families are encouraged to use the entire month to adhere to minimal electronic engagement, and the campaign’s cosponsor, the town’s Department of Youth and Family Services, has published a calendar of suggested “nonelectronic activities” for residents. For a link to the calendar, go to www.bedfordma.gov, and click on the Youth and Family Services link.
