Chris Ahl , Millis/Hopedale: Even with Boston College-bound offensive lineman Jon Baker sidelined with a season-ending knee injury, the senior back rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns in a 39-8 win for the co-op squad over Mashpee in the Division 6 South playoffs. Ahl also ran a kickoff back 90 yards for a score.

Randy Alay , Waltham: With seven seconds remaining and the Hawks down by one point to North Andover, the sophomore kicker hit a 35-yard field goal for a 30-28 win in the Division 2 North quarterfinals.

Nick D’Aloia , Hopkinton: The senior receiver helped his team score 26 unanswered second-half points by reeling in five passes for 123 yards and a touchdown, and adding 56 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Hillers in their 26-22 comeback win over Milton in the Division 3 Southeast sectional bracket.

Zach Elkinson , Holliston: In an electric 44-39 win over Scituate in the Division 4 South playoffs, the junior caught three touchdowns and ran for three more, including a one-yard game-winning score in the fourth quarter.

Adam Josephson , Newton South: The junior linebacker filled up the stat sheet in a 24-8 win for the Lions over Malden Catholic, leading the strong defensive effort with 21 tackles, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions.

Holliston at Westwood: This Division 4 South rivalry is playing out like an epic trilogy this fall. On Oct. 5, Westwood earned a thrilling double-overtime victory, 43-41. At 7 p.m. Friday, there will be a spot in the sectional final on the line. And don’t forget, there will be a third game between these two Tri-Valley League foes on Thanksgiving morning.
