Cable process gets underway


The Cable Advisory Committee has embarked this winter on the renewal process for the town’s cable contract, which has been in effect since 2006. Areas of high interest in the contract negotiations with local cable providers, according to town officials, are alternative media delivered to homes via the Internet, which aren’t covered by the contract, and the addition of some new high-density housing areas in town. Both issues were not on the table when the last contract was approved.
