The School Committee and the Harvard Teachers Association recently ratified a three-year contract for the union’s 170 teachers that will run from Sept. 1 of this year through Aug. 31, 2017. For each of the first two years of the contract, teachers will receive a 2 percent cost-of-living increase. In the third year, the increase will be 1.5 percent. Under the previous agreement, teachers were given raises of 1 percent for the first year and 2 percent for each of the following two years.
