A town caucus to nominate candidates whose names will appear on the town election ballot will be held on Monday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town House. If more than two candidates are nominated for a single office at the caucus, a vote will be taken and the top two finishers will appear on the ballot. If a candidate cannot attend the caucus or does not finish in the top two at the caucus, they can still be on the ballot by submitting nomination papers to Town Clerk Barrie H. Clough’s office by 1 p.m. on March 31. The papers are available from the clerk’s office anytime after March 1 and must be returned with the signatures of at least 40 registered Dover voters. There are a number of position up for reelection, including on the Board of Selectmen, Board of Assessors, School Committee, and Dover-Sherborn Regional School Committee. A complete list is available on the town’s website, http://www.doverma.org/ or by calling the Clough’s office at 508-785-0032 extension 226.
