Dover

Town caucus next month

A town caucus to nominate candidates whose names will appear on the town election ballot will be held March 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town House. If more than two candidates are nominated for a single office, a vote will be taken and the top two finishers will appear on the ballot. If a candidate cannot attend, or does not finish in the top two at the caucus, they can still get on the ballot by submitting nomination papers to Town Clerk Barrie H. Clough’s office by 1 p.m. on March 31. The papers are available from the clerk’s office after March 1 and must be returned with the signatures of at least 40 registered Dover voters. There are a number of positions up for election, including seats on the Board of Selectmen, Board of Assessors, School Committee, and Dover-Sherborn Regional School Committee. A complete list is available on the town’s website, www.doverma.org or by calling the Clough’s office at 508-785-0032, ext. 226.
